We recently hosted our very own taster day as part of the summer of IP outreach campaign, hosted by IP inclusive and Careers in Ideas. Following an application process, eleven university students were invited to our London office to learn more about the patent profession. During the day, students heard talks from attorneys and trainees across the firm, they participated in various activities and workshops including:
- Analysing a patent application
- Drafting claims
- Delivering presentations
- Applying to the industry: CVs, applications, and interviews
- Practising mock behavioural interview questions
The students applied themselves brilliantly to each activity, working collaboratively and demonstrating a genuine desire to learn more about the patent profession. It was a pleasure hosting such an incredible group of young people, all, eagerly desirous of achieving their career goals.
