The partners of Reddie & Grose are pleased to announce that on 1 April 2018, Alice Findlay became Partnership Chairman and Paul Loustalan was promoted to Partner. Alice’s appointment will bring fresh ideas and leadership to the fast-growing business and Paul’s promotion increases the number of partners to 22.
Alice Findlay has over 30 years’ experience as a patent, trade mark and design attorney for a wide range of domestic and international clients. She joined Reddie & Grose in November 2007 having previously been a partner in the Lloyd Wise Group for 15 years.
Alice is the chairman of PAMIA Limited, the mutual insurer through which the great majority of British and Irish patent and trade mark attorneys obtain their first level professional indemnity insurance cover. Through her over 20 years’ involvement, Alice has helped build this extremely successful business.
Paul Loustalan handles patents in the advanced engineering, automotive, materials and consumer products fields. Paul joined Reddie & Grose in 2011, having qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2009 at another firm. His PhD focused on fuel injectors for direct injection spark ignition engines, and was carried out under the sponsorship of two large automotive manufacturers. His specialities include developments in the fields of automotive research, power and control systems and he handles international patent drafting and prosecution and portfolio management for clients in these, and other advanced engineering, fields.
Alice Findlay commented: “I think it is a very positive sign of R&G’s outward looking approach that Paul and I, who started our careers in other firms, have been appointed to these roles. I’m proud to be the first holder of the new position of Partnership Chairman and look forward to leading further changes reflecting our significant growth and success in recent years.”
