Reddie & Grose announces new Executive Partner and three new senior associates

We are delighted to announce Julie Millburn as our new Executive Partner. We are also excited to announce three new senior associate promotions as we continue to strengthen our UK and European teams.

New Executive Partner

Julie Millburn takes over the Executive Partner role from Jan Vleck following his completion of two consecutive three-year terms. She brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having been an integral part of Reddie & Grose since joining in 2000 and becoming a Partner in 2005. She focuses her practice on obtaining patent and design protection for UK and overseas clients in the pure chemical, applied chemical and general mechanical fields.

Julie Millburn shared her excitement about the new role, commenting: “Having been with Reddie & Grose for over 25 years, it is an honour to lead a firm that advises some of the world’s most innovative companies. I plan to build on Jan’s success in ensuring Reddie & Grose remains known for its exceptional client service and for being a happy and inclusive place to work.”

New Senior Associates

Rob Wiseman, Alex Frank and Alex Maxwell-Keys have each been elevated to the role of Senior Associate. The promotions came into effect on 13 January 2025, bringing our total number of senior associates to 19.

Rob Wiseman, who works out of the London office, is a Chartered UK Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. He handles patent work in the electronics, electrical devices and software fields. Alex Frank is a qualified European Patent Attorney based in the Munich office. He handles a variety of cases mainly in the life sciences sector. He is also qualified to act as a representative before the Unified Patent Court. Alex Maxwell-Keys is as a Chartered UK Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. In 2021 he was awarded the Ballantyne Prize for the highest mark in the Infringement and Validity (FD4 / P6) UK qualifying examination. He works out of the Cambridge office and handles patent work in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields.
