Daniel Marchant handles patent work in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields.
Daniel joined Reddie & Grose in January 2021 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering (via Natural Sciences).
At University, Daniel’s final year research project involved the design of a batch acoustofluidic separator that could act as a cheap point-of-care diagnostic device for Chagas disease. Daniel also completed a summer research placement in computational chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh where he co-authored a paper on ‘Branched‐Selective Direct α‐Alkylation of Cyclic Ketones with Simple Alkenes’. Daniel also spent time as a research intern at Imperial College London and Université de Bordeaux where he worked with acoustic tweezers.
In his spare time Daniel enjoys weightlifting, astronomy and playing chess. He also likes playing the piano and listening to an eclectic mix of music.
