Katharina joined Reddie & Grose in 2021 as a qualified European Patent Attorney. Katharina’s experience is mainly in the chemical field, with a particular focus on pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining Reddie & Grose she worked for another patent law firm working on patents in a variety of fields including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and defending employee interventions.
Katharina gained comprehensive experience building an in-house IP team over several years at a pharmaceutical start-up and as an patent coordinator in the field of banknote security features.
Moreover, she has a wonderfully diverse background in IP and experience working in the Technical University Munich’s IP department on developing business opportunities, innovative technologies transfer and commercialisation; and supporting spinouts and start-ups.
Additionally, Katharina`s background in IP comprises patent licensing, patent strategies, IP due diligence analysis and employee interventions. She collaborated with different internal and external inventors, clients, technical transfer offices, professor and managing-committees.
Since returning to private practice, Katharina’s work reflects her in-house experiences and focuses on her many years of experience drafting, filing, prosecuting and defending patent and utility model applications, as well as infringement and validity opinions. She also has deep research and development experience.
She graduated at Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in organic, analytical and pharmaceutical chemistry.
Outside of work, Katharina enjoys hiking, skiing and sailing. She loves the beautiful mountains and lakes surrounding Munich.
