Katie Smith handles patent work in the engineering, materials and consumer products fields.
Katie joined Reddie & Grose in September 2019 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Study.
During her industrial placement year, Katie worked as a Process Engineer implementing operational improvements within Industrial Gas facilities. On returning to university, Katie completed her final year research project, focused on producing hydrocolloid fluid gels for the encapsulation of bioactive compounds.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys running, swimming and travelling whenever possible.
